The kit contains all the equipment required to test from source the complete pitot and static air data system on the CH53E helicopter, as well as the means of pre-testing all adaptors and hoses prior to being fitted to the aircraft.

Pitot Static Test Adaptor
Part No. PS49742M-4C-6C (2 req’d.)
This unit fits pitot probe Part No. AN5816 and when installed will isolate and test each system separately or simultaneously. Quick disconnects are fitted to both positions.
Pre-Test Probe
Part No. PT14974 (2 req’d.)
These units are used in order that the integrity of the adaptors, hoses and test set may be proven prior to the aircraft being tested, so that the minimum of time required may be used to locate faults, leaks etc. It is also intended for use as an assembly jig during repair and overhaul of adaptors. To insert unit into adaptors, turn compression nut counter-clockwise against stop. Install unit until snubber is contacted. Tighten nut and proceed with test.
Pitot Test Hose Assembly
Part No. 53E-7270C (1 req’d.)
This hose is connected to the pitot inlet of each adaptor and is fitted with two double acting quick disconnects for use when it is desirable to test only one pitot system. The connection to accept the pitot hose assembly of the pneumatic generator is included on this assembly.
Static Test Hose Assembly
Part No. 53E-5160C (1 req’d)
This assembly attaches to the static position on the adaptor. The double acting quick disconnects operate in the same manner as that on the pitot test hoses assembly. The connection to accept the static hose assembly of the pneumatic generator is included on this assembly.
Lubricating Fluid
Part No. LF5050 (1 req’d)
This fluid is used to lubricate the glands of the pitot static test adaptor. It is recommended that a small amount be placed on the glands before installing adaptor on pitot head. This will ensure smooth installation onto the pitot probe.
Seal Kit
Part No. SK472M
Two sets of spare seals are stowed in the case and identified.

One manual is supplied with each kit. The equipment is enclosed in a case assembly, P/N: P53-4161 (modified 105X case).
